We Emphasize Simplicity
Our tradition has always emphasized the beauty of simplicity. These basics have served as the hallmark for our worship, buildings and beliefs. We are guided by our early church motto: In essentials, UNITY, In nonessentials, LIBERTY; In all things, LOVE.

We Stress the Bible
We stress the vital importance of Christian Scripture: the need to read it, the care and depth to understand it, and the strength and courage to apply it.

 

We Believe in Salvation Through Christ
We believe the salvation from sin is found only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord.

We Practice Open Communion

We practice “Open Communion”, meaning that all Christians are invited to take part in the Lord’s Supper with us, regardless of denominational affiliation.  We believe that Jesus established the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper as a special means of grace for ALL believers, and that our common faith and oneness as Christians is what’s important.

We Have a Family Feel
There is a closeness about our congregation; an authentic warmth which comes from the love of God and care for one another. Those who named us chose the word Brethren straight from the Bible. The main idea for them, and for us, is that we are brothers and sisters in Christ; a family of faith.
